“Truth is the cry of all, but the game of the few.”
– George Berkeley (1685 – 1753)
What’s the point of living a Life if you’ve got no intention of really Living it? What’s the point of holding care in your heart and mind for those people and those things that matter more than all others if you’re not going to act on it? What’s the point of sitting on meaning that never sees the light of day?
Actions speak for how much anyone cares about anything in Life. And as it goes, all opportunities in our Life need reason to stick with us – opportunity has no time for words that aren’t backed by action.
And so, when our opportunities are shrinking – there is no reason to wonder – they’re shrinking because we aren’t taking the actions that are necessary to cause them to grow. Too many cycles of insufficient care or non-care for any opportunity results in it ceasing to exist.
Actions and results are the only evidence that we have to offer with respect to how much anything means to us in Life.
To make the most of our opportunity, to truly realize the meaning that we’re holding in our heart and our mind for those people and those things that matter more than all others, we must take the caring actions that are necessary to create value – for ourselves and for others. Value-creating care is the objective truth that powers and sustains all opportunity in Life.
