ADVANCE

Be Relentless in Pursuit of Progress

Are you facing the results of your Life objectively? Are you making the adjustments necessary to protect and optimize your well-being? Are areas of your Life exposed because you are underestimating the demands of real progress?

“All that is human must retrograde if it does not advance.”

– Edward Gibbon (1737 – 1794)

[1] In the normal course of everyday Life, we regularly come up short of our desires and expectations.  When the actions that we’re taking toward any desired end are not proving sufficient to overcome the changes, challenges, and resistances we’re facing, it is incumbent upon as the chief authority of our own Life to adjust, to adapt, to change our approach.

[2] When we fail to adjust to regress, we further our own contraction.  Failing to adjust to regress is to lose sight of the nature of value creation.  The changes, challenges, and resistances that stand between where we are and where we want to be are not wholly knowable, they are unpredictable, and they are relentless.

Lower & Less is notorious for leading us to overestimate our capabilities and underestimate the demands of real progress.  Lower & Less is notorious for leading us to self-destruct.

[3] When we’re loyal to our well-being we take the actions that are necessary to create and sustain value – externally and internally.  From the seat of Highest & Best, the objective results of where we are just are what they are and whether we’ve overestimated our capabilities or underestimated what’s required to Win & Joy, we must now dutifully act to do what is necessary to deliver and uphold care, to advance, to sustain.

[4] To adjust in Life is to compete in Life – to compete is to justly earn the value we seek.
